Corbett Creations Wood Veneers - March Sponsor:

This month our sponsor is an Australian based small business providing  the most gorgeous and custom made wood veneers!

And here is Jodi, the owner to tell you about her company.

Hi I am Jodi, Owner/Designer at Corbett Creations Wood Veneers.  My laser cutting business is currently based in Canberra and has been something I have been working on for a little while now.  It came about because I would be constantly frustrated that I couldn't find the perfect title or embellishment to finish off layouts, projects or gifts.  I would then spend far too long trying to create the perfect embellishment and would sometimes rope my husband in to help me with all this cool tools in the man shed!  He has a love for wood also and together we purchased our laser.  I love being able to design and cut the perfect piece for someone to finish telling their story - the perfect title, the hard to find themed embellishment, a custom piece for the home or a meaningful gift, really makes me feel so happy because I know that their search is over and they have the perfect piece that they desired.  I love to create in wood, chipboard, cardstock, paper and acrylic with so many different mediums I can create so many embellishments and titles - the possibilities are endless.

Good luck with your entries in the Scrap the Boys Challenge, I look forward to seeing everyone's entries"

March Sketch Challenge:

Happy March everyone!

Laura Whitaker Kindly created this sketch for us and it is fabulous!

Our DT have come up with so many different takes to inspire you!

This month we have two guest designers!
And here is our first guest designer all the way from India!
She created two layouts for us using the sketch.

These are so gorgeous. And here is a little about Monika.

This is Monika Shukla from India with a doctorate degree in Biotechnology, researched at IARI Delhi and now crafter by profession. Irony it may seem but yes that’s how life works.
My world revolves around my two year old son and caring husband. I am a full time homemaker who is working on her dream of opening her own craft studio. I love making cards, scrapbooks and home decor art pieces. I put my heart into creating something unique each time.
Coming to my style of work, I am more into everything as everything around me draws my attention like shabby chic, grungy, rustic mix media, simple card making. Paints and brushes are my all time favorite, glimpses of which will be always there in my creations. I get inspiration by looking around at all the creative and talented crafters and websites.
I am thrilled to be on Scrap the Boys Blog as a Guest Designer for this month. It is such an honor to be here today.

Name: Dr Monika Tripathi Shukla
Country: India

And here is our second guest designer Kirei from the UK:

I'm Kirei Baldwin and I live in the UK around 25 miles north of London with my husband Lee. I have been scrapping for over 12 years and am probably what you'd call a frustrated scrapper.... mainly because I just want to spend more time scrapping! I work full-time for The Disney Store in Head Office so I scrap whenever I can. I have built up a wonderful network of friends through scrapbooking, some who I now regard as my closest friends... that's the best part of it! I'm on the GoGo Getaway Design Team and teach classes at their Retreats and weekend events. I started as a delegate with them about 9 years ago so feel very privileged to now share what I love with other delegates! For my scrapping style ....I love white space and pretty papers, I like to use lots of embellishments, cut-files feature quite a bit and I don't mind experimenting with different techniques and mediums!

My social media accounts....

How amazing is her take on our sketch!

And now for our prizes this month!

Corbett Creations Wood Veneers (who we will feature tomorrow on the blog)

Creative Sketches latest version e book
and we will have a guest designer chosen from the winners.

Thank you for stopping by today and we do hope you will join us this month.

Kristina Ostarcevic

I was born in the USA but not long after, 28 days to be exact lol, my family moved back to our home land in Croatia. Most of our adventures revolved my fathers basketball career and we ended up in the USA once again in my teens. I pursued a modeling career and although I have finally laid that career to a rest, the art of preserving and capturing beauty is still within me.

I have don’t have a strict approach to my style and approach in art. I capture simplistic as well as the messiest of mixed media styles. It is so fun to try every new thing we come up with, wouldn’t you agree?

I love to teach and share my knowledge. I measure my success only by the success level of the ones I have helped along the way.

Kristy Abela
